Nights Away Notifications

Nights Away Notification (NAN): So that we can ensure that we are delivering safe Scouting, all Nights Away activities in the Southampton City Scout District need to be approved by our Deputy District Commissioner Programme. 

• Please complete this form at least 14 days before your event with all the information about your event to be checked over.

Warning: Any NAN forms submitted before 7 days of the event can not be approved. Sorry.

• • Canva is a online graphic design tool. Use it to create social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more. 

  • Sign up using this link and your southamptoncityscouts.org.uk Google account to receive premium features for free.

Google Workspace

• • Google Workspace is a collection of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools.

  • It consists of Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Meet and Chat for communication; Drive for storage; and many other tools.

  • Use Google Workspace to securely contact volunteers, share documents and media and much more.

  • All volunteers in the district can request an account via this form.

  • We strongly advise all Lead Volunteers and Trustees to use Google Workspace for email to ensure GDPR compliance.

Online Scout Manager (OSM) Gold

• • We pay for and provide a OSM Gold membership for all groups and sections in our district.

  • If your section needs the discount code, or would like to learn more about the features of OSM Gold, please contact the digital team.

Slack

• • Slack is a great way to communicate with your team online. Create new channels (group chats) to securely chat with other volunteers, without the overhead of multiple WhatsApp groups.

  • All volunteers with a southamptoncityscouts.org.uk Google account can access our PRO workspace via this link.
